Teradek Company is portable broadcast equipment manufacturer specializing in the broadcast field. Teradek integrated broadcast system enables quality mobile live broadcasting that is based on cellular infrastructure. The Bond component splits the encoded video signal on five cellular channels, enabling raising the quality and stability of the broadcast. The devices are especially small, the size of a computer mouse or a pack of cigarettes. The Teradek kit can be mounted on the camera, and using the redundancy of the multiple cellular modems, you can broadcast live during motion, and with minimal time needed for preparation.

Teradek broadcasting system includes a number of elements:

  1. Encoder – Cube – Teradek encoding component is a compact component that enables to receive the video and audio signal from the camera or other video source, perform high-quality encoding and transmit it to be broadcast on the Internet. Cube encoder can also be used to transmit broadcast on one surfing channel, via WiFi, wired connection or a single cellular modem, without needing a channels divider.
  2. Channels divider – Bond: the channels divider receives the encoded signal from the Cube device, and connects using five channels of different cellular mobile operators. The divided signal is transmitted encoded to consolidation server, which comprise the signal back. The channels divider enables to broadcast also under conditions of low reception of one of the cellular providers relying on the coverage of another provider.

    The Bond device has also another capability of dynamic adjustment of the video’s compression quality via cellular resources available, while maintaining continuous streaming of the broadcasted video.

  3. Cellular modems – sticks – The Bond device can connect to five cellular modems that are open to all companies that are adapted to work with the Bond. Modems can receive, via their setting before transmission, Sims of any cellular company and contribute the coverage resources and bandwidth to the collected pool used by the Bond. An adapter can be connected instead of one of the cellular channels and it enables the Bond to add to its resources pool available also wire browsing connection.
  4. Consolidation Server – A virtual server that is stored in a cloud, running protocol unifying the signal from the five channels and passes it on to the media streaming service (CDN).

To whom the product is designed for?
Is it possible to work with all cellular networks?
Yes, the Bond device receives up to five Sims simultaneously and operates with all the networks. It should be noted, however, that there is no value of dividing infrastructure split while working with a virtual operator. Regarding the capabilities of coverage, the factor that affects the infrastructure divide is only an operator that has actual deployment of cellular antennas.

Can any USB modem be used with the device?
Teradek’s devices do not support all models of cellular modems. We recommend purchasing suitable modems that do not belong to a specific cellular network and are specifically adapted to the device.

Is the device really that small? What is its actual size?
Yes. The device consists of two parts: the Cube and the Bond, the size of each of them is the size of a pack of cigarettes.

Is the device suitable for any camera?
You can select a CUBE encoder that is suitable to your camera. There are three interface connections: HD/SD-SDI, HDMI and Composite.

How do I start broadcasting?
After turning on the device you can click on the “Go-Live” button or run the transmission via Teradek control software using WIFI connection or a wired network for the CUBE device.
